Jacob's Ladder

Jacob’s Ladder will captivate visitors as its iconic electric spark rises between a pair of metal rods. Safely contained within an acrylic cylinder, this classic science display can be controlled by guests via an easy-to-use wheel, which changes the location of the glowing bolt of electricity. A transformer at the base creates two slightly different voltages in each metal rod, making electrons jump from one rod to the other and creating a hot spark. The rising warm air pushes the electric spark upward until it dissipates, and the process begins again.
